Disney channels disappeared from YouTube TV after the two companies failed to reach a renewal agreement, creating a major dispute in the world of streaming. This isn’t a typical contract disagreement; it’s a fight over how television content will be delivered in the future. It appears YouTube TV might be intentionally making a strong statement to the entire industry by taking a firm stance against Disney.

Keanu Reeves is in talks to star in a new sci-fi action movie called Shiver, directed by Tim Miller, who also directed Deadpool. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie’s script, written by Ian Shorr, is being described as a mix of Edge of Tomorrow and The Shallows. Reeves will play a smuggler who gets trapped in a time loop after being betrayed during a job in the Caribbean. The film, which combines science fiction with a tropical setting, seems like a fresh and exciting take on the genre. Warner Bros. is close to securing the rights to the project.

Generally, the Best Supporting Actress Oscar goes to someone who hasn’t won one before. In fact, only five women have ever won this award after already receiving an Oscar: Shelley Winters (who previously won in 1959), Helen Hayes (won Best Actress in 1931/1932), Ingrid Bergman (won Best Actress in 1944 and 1956), Maggie Smith (won Best Actress in 1969), and Diane Wiest (won in 1986).

The Hollywood Reporter says Tim Miller, the director of Deadpool, will helm Shiver, working from a script by Ian Shorr. Matthew Vaughn, known for the Kingsman films, will produce alongside Aaron Ryder.

I was so excited to hear Woody Harrelson talking about potentially doing another season of True Detective with Matthew McConaughey!
