The final scene of The Godfather Part II perfectly captures Michael Corleone’s deep loneliness and the pain of being betrayed. Throughout the first two films, we see Michael’s transformation – from a war veteran wanting nothing to do with his family’s criminal activities, to the powerful Don Corleone. But as his influence grew, so did the number of people who betrayed him. This led to a profound isolation, a consequence of his absolute power. The poignant dinner scene, shown in flashback, powerfully foreshadows the despair he feels at the end of the film.

I was so excited to see that Mattson Tomlin, the director who was working on getting Tobey Maguire back as Spider-Man for a fourth movie, hasn’t completely ruled it out! He actually responded to a fan question on X (formerly Twitter) and hinted that it’s still a possibility, which is awesome news. It’s not a definite yes, but there’s still a little hope!

The festival will take place from January 16 to February 23, 2026, lasting around 39 days – making it a longer festival than usual. It’s included with regular admission to Epcot, so you don’t need a separate ticket.

Coming in second place with $13 million is Black Phone 2. This horror film from Blumhouse is in its second week of release and currently the only big horror movie out in October. Disney hasn’t produced a lot of anime, but Star Wars: Visions has been a huge hit. It’s already been renewed for a third season on Disney+, and it’s opening doors for more anime content overall, as well as more stories set in the Star Wars universe. Depending on how fans react to Star Wars: Visions: Volume 3, we might even see a full spin-off series based on it.
