While some find it a strange, brightly colored fantasy that fits in well with other holiday movies, revisiting it now, 25 years later, shows some flaws. The makeup and sets still look great, and Jim Carrey’s performance is still energetic, but certain aspects haven’t held up over time.
As a fan, I really hoped we’d see Elizabeth Olsen’s vision for Scarlet Witch continue in the MCU, and while that’s still possible, it doesn’t seem likely to happen anytime soon. Ryan Coogler will direct the third Black Panther movie, according to reports. He revealed this during a panel for his film Sinners at Deadline’s Contenders Film: Los Angeles, stating he’s returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to finish the Black Panther trilogy. Deadline confirmed that Coogler is actively working on Black Panther 3 as his next project. He later emphasized the film’s progress, jokingly saying he’d normally avoid confirming such news, but assured everyone, “We’re working on it hard… Yeah, it’s the next movie.”
