As a huge fan of superhero stuff, I was really bummed when The Tick got cancelled. Everything at the time felt so…grim. Every show seemed to start from this really dark place, with even darker villains and a generally depressing tone. The Tick was a breath of fresh air! It was hilarious and weird, but it also had genuine heart. It wasn’t afraid to explore real emotions, fears, and what people hoped for. Looking back, I think it actually helped pave the way for shows like The Boys that we all love now – stuff that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still manages to be meaningful.

As a big fan of those classic games, I was so excited to discover a new game on Steam that really feels like the same spirit! It’s not made by Rockstar, but it captures a lot of what I loved about them.

Rumor has it that Ridley Scott’s Rey Skywalker will return in a significant capacity for a new Star Wars trilogy being developed by Simon Kinberg. However, the trilogy may also focus on a new set of main characters. The match came after a controversial storyline where Cena briefly turned villain, unexpectedly winning the championship from Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. For their SummerSlam rematch, Cena returned to his heroic persona, and the two wrestlers delivered a particularly brutal and exciting championship battle.

Chris Pratt stars as Chris Draven, a detective in a futuristic Los Angeles overrun by crime. Here, trials are held before cold, efficient AI judges. Draven finds himself accused of murder and strapped into the ‘Mercy Chair’ – it’s not what you think! – with just 90 minutes to convince AI Judge Maddox (Rebecca Ferguson) of his innocence, or face immediate execution. While the story isn’t particularly original, it’s designed to move quickly, as Draven frantically uses a lot of advanced, fast-paced technology to try and prove he’s innocent.

Ponies is a new spy thriller on Peacock starring Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson as two secretaries in Moscow. After their husbands die unexpectedly, they’re unexpectedly recruited as CIA agents. Although it just came out on January 15th, people are already discussing a second season, but it hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. The show has quickly become a hit, breaking a viewership record in just a few weeks.

One of the earliest reviews of the show, penned by David Opie of Digital Spy, was quite critical. He pointed out that the most compelling parts of Steal felt more like a difficult family story than a thrilling crime caper, and ultimately predicted the show wouldn’t be worth viewers’ time.
