An update on the upcoming Marvel Studios X-Men reboot has emerged, naming a possible producer for the film.
According to a recent report from Daniel Richtman, Stephen Broussard is now a producer on a Marvel Cinematic Universe project. He’s been with Marvel since 2005, starting as an assistant to Kevin Feige on films like Fantastic Four and X-Men: The Last Stand. In addition to his work on X-Men, Broussard is also set to produce the upcoming Wonder Man series.
What are the fan reactions to the new X-Men movie update?
The newest X-Men film has received a varied response from fans, with some voicing concerns about the producer, Broussard, because of his previous work on Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
He’s worked as a producer on six Marvel films, including ‘The Incredible Hulk,’ ‘Captain America: The First Avenger,’ ‘Iron Man 3,’ ‘Doctor Strange,’ and both ‘Ant-Man’ movies. After the recent ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ didn’t perform well with audiences or critics, some fans are concerned the upcoming ‘X-Men’ movie might face similar issues. However, other fans are optimistic, pointing to his successful MCU projects like ‘Werewolf by Night’ and ‘Loki’ as reasons to be hopeful.
I’m so excited about the new X-Men movie Marvel Studios is making! It’s going to be directed by Jake Schreier, who I really enjoyed his work on Thunderbolts, and Michael Lesslie is writing the script. We don’t know much about the story or who’s going to be in it just yet, but the good news is that some familiar faces will be appearing in the next Avengers: Doomsday movie! I’m thrilled that Patrick Stewart will be back as Charles Xavier, along with Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, and even Channing Tatum as Gambit. It’s going to be amazing to see them all again!
