Okay, as a huge Marvel fan, I have to say the original Iron Fist is BACK, and it’s honestly exceeding all my expectations! I’ve been waiting for this for so long, and it’s even better than I’d hoped.
In issue #4 of The Undead Iron Fist (from Jason Loo, Fran Galán, Jim Campbell, and Travis Lanham), Danny Rand—recently back from the dead—battles the villainous Quan Yaozu and his demonic forces. Luckily, Danny now has the power of T’an-Long, a powerful spectral dragon that Quan Yaozu previously killed. Along with his abilities as the Ghost Fist of Osiris, T’an-Long gives Danny the edge he needs to win. Afterward, the pair return to their new home in the Underworld, ready to answer the call if they’re needed again.

The latest issue of Marvel’s The Undead Iron Fist (#4) promises a dramatic finale! Danny Rand will confront a man whose life he once saved, and the original Iron Fist—now revealed as a false prophet—returns. This issue marks the end of Danny Rand’s story.
Danny Rand, also known as the Iron Fist, first appeared in Marvel Comics’ Marvel Premiere #15 in 1974. Created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, he quickly became one of Marvel’s most skilled combatants. Over the years, Danny distinguished himself as part of teams like Heroes for Hire, the Midnight Sons, and the Avengers. Sadly, even all his experience and heroism couldn’t protect him from the evil Ch’i-Lin, which ultimately cost him his life.
Powerful, evil warriors obsessed with stealing the eggs of the immortal dragon, Shou-Lao, caused a series of deaths. It later came to light that these events were carefully planned by Quan Yaozu, a disgraced former Iron Fist. He used his knowledge of the Book of the Iron Fist to control the destinies of those who followed him, all to serve his wicked ambitions.
I was so relieved when it turned out Danny Rand wasn’t really gone for good! His spirit ended up in this place called the Duat, and he actually met Osiris, a powerful god. Osiris saw what a good person Danny was and gave him a chance to get revenge on Quan Yaozu. It’s amazing – Danny’s back! Though honestly, he seems to need a break from everything, so he’s chilling in the Underworld for a while, which is kind of cool, too.
