As a huge movie fan, I’ve been really impressed with Jenna Ortega lately – she’s quickly becoming a really in-demand actress! She’s especially known for her work in horror and thrillers, and it’s cool to see a project she filmed way back in 2025 finally gaining traction in 2026. It just shows how long things can take in the movie world!
Despite not performing well in theaters, the movie Hurry Up Tomorrow, featuring Jenna Ortega and The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye), is gaining popularity. It’s currently the fourth most-watched film on the STARZ streaming platform among U.S. viewers.
The musician collaborated with Reza Fahim and Trey Edward Shults to write the screenplay, and Shults also directed the film, which received an R rating. Although made with a $15 million budget, Hurry Up Tomorrow only earned $7.8 million worldwide in ticket sales.
After the conclusion of Hurry Up Tomorrow, the 2025 project received negative reviews from critics. It currently has a 14% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 91 reviews. Despite the critical response, audiences seem to enjoy it more, giving it a 60% score on the site’s Popcornmeter.
I recently watched Hurry Up Tomorrow, and honestly, the story felt a bit repetitive at first. It took a while to really find its footing. And, if I’m being completely honest, I found myself checking the time more than once, which is never a good sign. I just couldn’t quite connect with any of the characters, unfortunately.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is currently streaming on STARZ in the United States.
