Sam Rockwell recently discussed the progress of Marvel’s ‘Armor Wars’ series. He suggested that his character, Justin Hammer, might share screen time with Walton Goggins’ Sonny Burch in the show.

The actor seemed genuinely surprised when ScreenRant asked about the Armor Wars film. He responded, “Oh, Armor Wars? You mean the Marvel project?” and then questioned, “Is that actually happening?”

After hearing the project had been in the works for a while, Rockwell changed the subject and asked Goggins if his former “White Lotus” co-star had ever played a superhero. When he discovered Goggins had previously played Sonny Burch in “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” Rockwell suggested the two characters could team up as villains. He envisioned them as “Walt and I could team up like bad guys,” he said.

The actor expressed excitement about potentially reprising his role in the film series, especially as Justin Hammer. He described the character as enjoyable to play and added that he’d also love to portray another supervillain, saying, “It would be great.”

Originally planned as a Disney+ show starring Don Cheadle as James Rhodes, the project has been changed into a movie. Cheadle is still involved, and Yassir Lester continues to write the script. Marvel hasn’t released many details recently, but there are rumors that Walton Goggins might reprise his role as Sonny Burch from the Ant-Man and the Wasp films.

Marvel Studios hasn’t announced any new actors or revealed the story for Armor Wars yet. Because details are still a secret, comments from Don Cheadle have gotten fans excited about the project.
