Impractical Jokers Renewed After Record Ratings

Great news for fans! The show has been renewed for another season on TBS, thanks to strong viewership numbers for the network.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that Impractical Jokers will return for a thirteenth season. This announcement comes after Season 12 finished with strong ratings, a surprising outcome given the general decline in traditional TV viewership. The second part of Season 12, which included nine episodes and two specials, premiered on January 15th, and its success makes the show’s renewal by TBS particularly noteworthy for a cable program.

Impractical Jokers Is Only Getting Better

According to TBS executive Jason Sarlanis, the show Impractical Jokers is more popular than ever after fifteen seasons, achieving record ratings. He credits the show’s dedicated fans and the strong friendship between the stars for its continued success, and promises even more hilarious moments in the future.

As a big fan, I’ve been following the latest season, and the numbers are incredible! It’s pulling in a 1.72 rating with viewers aged 25-54, which is a massive 292% jump from last season. Seriously, it’s become the most-watched original series on cable for adults, and all signs point to this being the highest-rated season of Impractical Jokers ever. And it’s not just on TV – the show is blowing up online too, racking up over 65 million video views and almost 3 million likes, shares, and comments so far this year!

Impractical Jokers Is the “Best Job”

Impractical Jokers debuted in late 2011 and quickly became a popular hidden camera show. It follows a group of longtime friends who constantly challenge each other to perform embarrassing pranks on unsuspecting people. Each episode, the friend who fails the most challenges has to face a particularly humiliating punishment. The show, starring Brian “Q” Quinn, James “Murr” Murray, and Sal Vulcano, often includes appearances by well-known celebrities. One of the original stars left the show in late 2021.

Looking back on how far the show has come, he said they filmed the first episode back in 2010, and both the show and the team have improved and grown significantly since then.

The last two episodes of Impractical Jokers Season 12 will be shown on Thursday, March 19th, and Friday, March 20th, right after the NCAA March Madness games on TBS.
