Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 Will Depend on 1 Factor

The upcoming third season of Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again, tentatively titled, has recently seen an update, hinting at the future of its Disney+ comeback. Notably, filming for the second season concluded more than a month back.

What will have to happen for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 to occur?

Based on information from Nexus Point News, it appears that whether or not Daredevil: Born Again will be renewed for its third season might hinge on the response from critics and viewers after the release of Season 2. At present, the initial episode of this season has a rating of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is slightly lower (12%) compared to the original Netflix series’ Season 1 rating.

Despite the fact that a decision on Season 3 hasn’t been made yet, the production team has begun preparations in anticipation of its potential renewal. If all goes smoothly, filming for Season 3 is scheduled to commence in March 2026. It’s been reported that Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio have already signed contracts for a three-season run of Born Again. Should the series continue past Season 3, they will need to renegotiate their agreements with the studio.

In the series Daredevil: Born Again, the team of executive producers includes Dario Scardapane serving as showrunner, along with Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, and others. The diverse cast features Charlie Cox portraying Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Margarita Levieva as Heather, Genneya Walton as BB Urich, Nikki M. James as Kirsten, Clark Johnson as Cherry, and Michael Gandolfini as Daniel.

In the upcoming Season 2, we’ll see the addition of Matthew Lillard and Lili Taylor, joining returning Marvel star Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. Ritter’s return marks her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe following the conclusion of her Netflix show in 2019. Since Ritter’s casting, there’s been much buzz about potential appearances by other Defenders characters such as Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist in Season 2.
