They’re releasing a final piece of artwork featuring Reze, marking a permanent farewell to the character and this type of art.
With its time in theaters coming to a close, Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc is holding a final event in Japan. To mark the occasion, character designer Kazutaka Sugiyama created a special piece of artwork that will be given to moviegoers at the last screenings.
The scene is beautifully captured, showing Reze accepting flowers from Denji. Her expression reflects her pride and happiness at finally achieving her dream of becoming a movie star.
Chainsaw Man Gives Reze Her Flowers In Final Official Art Reveal
A new piece of artwork featuring Reze was recently revealed on X (formerly Twitter). It will be given exclusively to those who attend the final stage greeting and live broadcast event for the film. This event will take place on March 21st at 10:30 AM at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya in Tokyo, Japan. Attendance is limited and requires a successful application.
Denji’s voice actor, Kikunosuke Toya, along with Shogo Sakata (Aki), Karin Takahashi (Kobeni), and Reina Ueda (Reze) will be at the film’s viewing. The event will also be live-streamed to certain theaters throughout Japan, so fans who can’t attend in Tokyo can still participate.
This latest artwork of Reze, created by Kazutaka Sugiyama, is the tenth and final official piece released for the movie while it was in theaters. Sugiyama created many of these artworks, and this last one shows Denji sheepishly waving goodbye to Reze from outside her coffee shop.

The promotional artwork for this release focused on showing a hopeful and positive side to Denji and Reze’s relationship, even suggesting a happy ending for them – a stark contrast to the events that unfolded in the actual film.
After the release of the Reze Arc, Tatsuki Fujimoto shared that he originally wanted Reze’s story to end tragically, leaving her as a lost love for the main character. However, he later said that revisiting the story through the movie made him appreciate Reze even more. Fujimoto famously mentioned he couldn’t stop thinking about her after watching it, which might be why his recent artwork depicts their relationship in a surprisingly positive light.
Chainsaw Man Is Ending In Several Ways At Once
New artwork of Reze was released alongside the latest chapter of Chainsaw Man, but the timing is a little sad for fans. Shonen Jump also announced that the final chapter of Chainsaw Man Part 2 will be published on March 24th.
Although the sudden ending of Part 2 is initially frustrating, it’s similar to how the first part of CSM concluded, which gives fans reason to believe a third part might still happen.
With the movie’s release in theaters and the second part of the manga wrapping up around the same time, fans have the previously announced project planned for Jump Festa 2026 to look forward to. Plus, Chainsaw Man will be at AnimeJapan 2026 on March 28th, meaning we might hear more about the anime’s future soon.
The most recent official artwork before the final Reze illustration was made for AnimeJapan 2026. MAPPA shared on social media that this design will be featured on upcoming merchandise. Regardless of what the future holds for Chainsaw Man, Reze has definitely left a lasting impression on anime fans, and she truly deserves the recognition.
Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc is scheduled to begin streaming on Crunchyroll in Spring 2026.
