CBS Unveils the Criminal Minds Season 19 Trailer

The new trailer for the upcoming season is out, and it looks like Season 19 will be packed with drama and excitement when it premieres in a few weeks.

The first trailer for Season 19 of Criminal Minds: Evolution is here, and it delivers the suspense fans love from the show. This season, the BAU team investigates new serial killers while Elias Voit, played by Zach Gilford, is interviewed for a true crime podcast. Surprisingly, those who previously imprisoned him then ask for his help to stop someone imitating Sicarius. The new season of the popular CBS crime drama begins May 28th with two back-to-back episodes.

What to Expect from Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 19

Season 19 of Criminal Minds: Evolution is back on Paramount+, and it’s more intense than ever. The BAU team faces a series of disturbing new cases while Elias Voit tries to make amends for his actions. However, his notoriety attracts a dangerous new enemy, known as The Fan, who is obsessed with Voit and determined to prove he’s the better criminal. This relentless and cunning UnSub will push the BAU to their absolute limits.

The trailer for The Fan reveals a pattern of murders being copied. While Elias appears eager to help stop this new killer, he warns that dealing with obsessive serial killers is never straightforward. It’s likely his efforts to make amends will be met with skepticism from the BAU team, who understandably don’t trust him or his followers.

Who Is Coming Back for Criminal Minds Season 19?

Gilford’s Voit joined the cast of Season 19, alongside familiar faces like Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, and A.J. Cook. The season also featured several guest stars, including Yvette Nicole Brown from Community, Clark Gregg known for his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the comedic talent of Paul F. Tompkins.

Fans are disappointed that Daniel Henney won’t be returning. Showrunner Erica Messer previously explained that while they’d love to have him back, Season 19’s storyline was already fully planned out months in advance, even before the show Wheel of Time ended and before they knew about its cancellation. She emphasized that they still greatly appreciate and enjoy working with Daniel, but his return wasn’t possible for this season.

Season 19 of Criminal Minds: Evolution starts on Paramount+ May 28th with the first two episodes available immediately. New episodes will then be released weekly, leading up to the season finale on July 23rd.
