Ne Zha 2 is a Chinese animated fantasy adventure film created by Jiaozi. It’s a follow-up to the 2019 movie Ne Zha and came out in US cinemas this past August, distributed by A24.

The first episode of any fantasy show needs to grab viewers’ attention and make them want to see more, and nothing did it better than Game of Thrones. Its pilot episode was incredibly effective, drawing audiences into the show’s world with just the right amount of detail – enough to be captivating, but leaving plenty of mysteries to unfold over the eight seasons that followed. It truly set the show up for success.

According to FlixPatrol, the movie Fatman has been among the top 10 most-watched films on Paramount+ all week in the United States. It reached number one yesterday, November 20th, after spending much of the week in second or third place. Today, it’s currently at number two, as Tom Cruise’s American Made has climbed to the top spot. Fatman stars Mel Gibson as a cynical and unconventional Santa Claus who’s dealing with problems at the workshop, government meddling, and a particularly frightening threat: a hitman hired by a child who was placed on the naughty list.

As a fan, I have to say Pluribus is a total departure from Breaking Bad. That show was all grounded in reality and crime, never touching on anything sci-fi or supernatural. Pluribus, though, is built around something alien and really strange happening. It’s cool that it’s still set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Carol lives, even though the story takes her to different places.

Big life events like graduations or retirements are usually celebrated with the people who supported you along the way, and the film Conjuring: Last Rites does just that. The movie, released in 2025, will be known as the final installment featuring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren, and it ends with a memorable gathering of familiar faces from throughout the Conjuring series.

The new series arrives more than six years after the original show ended its eight-season run. Even though the final season received some criticism, the drama remains highly rated, currently holding an 89% average score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Though Rexy wasn’t in The Lost World or Jurassic Park 3, the famous T-Rex returned in the Jurassic World trilogy and appeared in the animated series Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory. Even when she frightened the characters in those animated shows, she was ultimately just acting naturally – either defending her home or looking for food. The recent final season of Chaos Theory gave Rexy one last starring role.

Universal Pictures announced that Wicked: For Good brought in $30.8 million at the box office during its preview showings. This is the highest preview gross of any film released in 2025 to date, significantly surpassing the previous record of $24.4 million set by Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps in July.

If you’ve been reading my column or following me on Bluesky, you’ve probably noticed I tend to write about movies connected to recent releases. So, you might have guessed I’d be discussing Sam Raimi’s Oz the Great and Powerful with the new Wicked movie coming out – and you’d be right! Sadly, there are no prizes, and I don’t get anything for it either. Instead, I bravely suffered through what I consider Sam Raimi’s worst film – it was so bad I couldn’t even watch it all at once, and I had to split it over two nights without any distractions. You’re welcome for the sacrifice.

The show’s later seasons haven’t held up as well as the early ones. Although Sherlock launched the careers of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, some aspects now feel outdated. Despite the continued popularity, rewatching the series today isn’t quite the same experience it was back in 2010.
