For anime fans – and really, anyone who enjoys a good TV show – To Be Hero X delivers everything you could want from a superhero series. Beyond the essentials – compelling characters, beautiful animation, and a strong story – the show created a truly memorable experience, and it’s been renewed for a second season. While Gen V and The Boys are currently popular superhero shows, anime fans recognize that To Be Hero X is the truly innovative series that stood out over its 24 episodes.

The detective drama Cooper & Fry unfolds in the stunning Peak District of northern England. It introduces an unlikely but effective duo: local detective Cooper is partnered with Fry, a big-city cop who arrives with a mystery surrounding his transfer. Together, they investigate a series of bizarre, ritualistic, and disturbing murders.

The animated comedy series surprised a lot of people when it premiered on Prime Video in 2024. Creator Medrano first started funding the project through her Patreon account ten years earlier. Originally, the show launched with a pilot episode on YouTube in 2019. Its huge popularity then led to a deal with Prime Video and A24, who released a full season on streaming in January of last year.

Andy Muschietti, the director of The Flash and It, is on board to direct, and that strongly suggests who the villain will be. Given his talent for horror and unsettling imagery, Muschietti seems like the perfect choice to bring a truly frightening edge to Gotham, potentially by featuring one of Batman’s most complex and psychologically driven enemies: Scarecrow.

Although Ralph Fiennes brilliantly played Voldemort, the performance sometimes made him seem like a fantastical villain rather than a complex person with a tragic past. Showing the human side of Voldemort is crucial to understanding why he became who he was, even if it doesn’t justify his terrible actions.

Prime Video has become a go-to place for thrilling TV shows. It now offers a strong selection, including excellent adaptations of popular books like Bosch and Jack Ryan, as well as widely popular series such as Reacher.

Though fans will always remember him and celebrate his impact, NCIS: Origins is exploring Gibbs’ early life, revealing more about his experiences in the 1990s. Mark Harmon returns to narrate as the older Gibbs, adding depth to Austin Stowell’s portrayal of the younger version. After making an appearance in the spinoff last year, a long-held secret is now bringing Harmon back to the NCIS universe.
