A recent article in Variety about Paramount Skydance and its new CEO, David Ellison, revealed that the studio is planning a new Star Trek movie with a completely new cast. They are no longer considering bringing back Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, or any of the actors from the J.J. Abrams films.
