After nearly ten years, Cartoon Network is reviving the beloved and highly-rated series, Regular Show, and we now know when it will return!
The show follows the adventures of best friends Mordecai, a blue jay, and Rigby, a raccoon, both 23 years old. They’re usually trying to avoid work and don’t get much done, but their laziness often leads to bizarre and supernatural problems.
Regular Show, a popular animated sitcom from Cartoon Network created by Quintel, originally aired for eight seasons from September 2010 to January 2017. It was later known as Regular Show in Space for its eighth season. Now, Cartoon Network is reviving the series again as Regular Show: The Lost Tapes, with a release date set for May 11, 2026.
The announcement came in a puzzling video posted on the official YouTube channel for Regular Show. The video, titled Something is coming… | NEW Regular Show: The Lost Tapes 11th May | Cartoon Network, revealed the release date, but still felt mysterious. It includes a countdown hinting at another event on March 23, 2026, at 9:00 AM ET. It appears the channel will be live streaming highlights from the first eight seasons of Regular Show.
The new series, Regular Show: Lost Tapes, will feature many of the original voice actors returning, including J.G. Quintel as Mordecai and Hi Five Ghost, William Salyers as Rigby, Mark Hamill as Skips, and Sam Marin as both Benson and Muscle Man. The show will consist of 44 episodes and explore previously untold stories from the original Regular Show.
Regular Show: Lost Tapes will premiere on May 11, 2026, on Cartoon Network.
