Everyone agrees that Bloodborne is a truly exceptional game, and it’s widely considered a major letdown that it’s only available on PlayStation. Since its release in 2015, Bloodborne has become a classic, but fans are still waiting – and hoping – for Sony to announce an updated version for newer consoles or a release on PC.
It’s been over ten years since Bloodborne came out, and we still haven’t gotten any official word about a remaster. So, fans like me are taking things into our own hands! People have already made unofficial PC ports, and now someone’s showing us what a Bloodborne Remastered could look like if FromSoftware ever released one in 2026. It’s pretty cool to see what the game could be!
Thanks to a new PC port created by fromsoftserve and showcased by Bang4BuckPC Gamer on YouTube, we’re getting a look at Bloodborne like never before. Using a powerful combination of a Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, RTX 5090 graphics card, and the Shad PS4 emulator, the game is playable on PC in stunning 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. With the settings maxed out and the Bloodborne Mod Launcher utilized, the video clearly demonstrates what an updated version of Bloodborne could look like.
Anyone with a computer powerful enough to run games at their highest settings can achieve this result, because the necessary tools – the PC port, Mod Launcher, and ShadPS4 – are all available for free.
Let’s take a look at how much Bloodborne can change after ten years. Bang4BuckPC Gamer helpfully shares their ShadPS4 settings at the beginning of the video if you’re interested in trying to replicate the improvements yourself. The rest of the video shows the Hunter exploring Yharnam, battling terrifying creatures, and revisiting some of gaming’s most memorable places. The lighting and shadows are dramatically better, with the Hunter moving naturally through dimly lit streets while still preserving the original game’s gritty atmosphere.
Not surprisingly, fans quickly shared their reactions to this unofficial Bloodborne remaster in the comments section.
I get why FromSoftware is hesitant to let anyone remaster their older games. One player pointed out that even though you can run it at a higher frame rate now, like 90fps, it doesn’t feel any different. Apparently, the animations are all built around the original 30fps, so it doesn’t give you that smooth, high-fps experience you’d expect.
Now that an unofficial port lets you play Bloodborne completely on PC, it’s a huge achievement many fans have hoped for. While it would be ideal if FromSoftware released the game officially for PC, this port is a great solution for now, and we’ll keep making it work.
