Deadline was the first to report that Alex Avary is adapting Paradise Lost with the help of Ex Machina Studios, a company specializing in AI-driven filmmaking. The poem, written almost 400 years ago, recounts Lucifer’s revolt in heaven and his ascent to power in hell. Many believe the story is too difficult to adapt for the screen, but Avary and Ex Machina believe AI technology will allow them to finally bring it to life.

Seiko has partnered with the popular anime Re:Zero — Starting Life in Another World to release limited-edition watches featuring characters Emilia and Rem. These watches are available now through the Japan Select online store. Only 2,000 of each design will be made, and they each cost $580.

As a big fan of both, it’s been amazing to see how quickly Severance and Widow’s Bay became hits. I remember when Severance first dropped on Apple TV in 2022 – everyone was talking about it, and it scored an incredible 97% on Rotten Tomatoes for its first season. Now, after season two, it still holds a fantastic overall score of 95%. And Widow’s Bay? It practically exploded onto the scene in April 2026, starting with a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes! It’s dipped a little since then, but at 95%, it’s still seriously impressive.

The Mechanic is an action-packed thriller released in 2011. It’s a remake of a popular movie from the 1970s with the same title. Directed by Simon West, this version updates the original 1972 film, which starred Charles Bronson and Jill Ireland. Though the two films aren’t identical, they share a similar story: both center around a skilled hitman who expertly disguises murders as accidents.

Despite featuring a stellar cast, the film Practical Magic wasn’t a financial success, failing to earn back its high production costs. However, it has gained a dedicated following over the years and remains a beloved part of ’90s pop culture. Although financial struggles aren’t uncommon for fantasy films, Practical Magic received particularly harsh reviews from critics.

I was listening to Rob Liefeld’s podcast, and Robert Kirkman – yeah, the guy behind The Walking Dead – was talking about Superman. He thinks Superman’s had a bit of a tough time, even though he’s still super popular and a huge part of our culture. He had some interesting thoughts on how the character’s been doing over the years, and it really made me think!

I was so thrilled to see that Space Ghost Coast to Coast is a huge hit right now! According to FlixPatrol, it actually reached the No. 1 spot on the Apple TV Store this week in the US, and it’s still hanging in there as the second most-watched show. For those who don’t know, it’s this wonderfully weird parody of late-night talk shows, and it originally started as a spin-off from the classic Hanna-Barbera Space Ghost cartoons.

Both stories feature complex characters who operate in worlds filled with crime and dishonesty. Despite this similarity, they’re very different experiences: one is a deliberate, character-focused TV show, and the other is a fast-paced, over-the-top Western film. The settings are also drastically different – The Sopranos takes place in New Jersey between the late 1990s and early 2000s, while Tombstone is set in the South Dakota town of the same name during 1881 and 1882.

Sandman, Silvermane, and Tombstone are confirmed villains in the upcoming story. Initially, many fans thought Molten Man and Electro would also appear, but recent promotional materials have clarified that a new, fiery villain seen in the Spider-Noir trailer will be introduced, and the electric villain will actually be Megawatt.

As a huge Jackie Chan fan, I’m always excited to see what’s on streaming, and Prime Video doesn’t disappoint! They’ve got some real classics, like Wheels on Meals – seriously, if you love 80s martial arts, you need to see this one with Yuen Biao and Sammo Hung. And it’s not just the old stuff; they have The Foreigner, which I think is one of Jackie’s best recent films, and the newest Police Story movie, Police Story: Lockdown, to keep the franchise going strong.
