The MCU has many characters who could face a tragic end in future stories, but some seem more likely than others. Considering the comic book background of one recent addition to the MCU, they’re a strong candidate to be the focus of a death storyline.

The new series, Badlands, has a good starting point with popular actress Elle Fanning in a leading role, and it features the familiar Predator creatures. Director Trachtenberg previously made two successful Predator movies for Hulu, Prey and Predator: Killer of Killers, which have been praised by audiences.

Alec Gillis, a special effects artist who worked on Alien: Romulus, says there are no confirmed plans for a sequel right now. While rumors have surfaced about a potential follow-up film, Gillis hasn’t been contacted to begin working on it.

Movie industry insider Jeff Sneider reports that the talked-about Midnight Sons film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe would finally introduce Ghost Rider as a key character with supernatural abilities.

The actress known for her role in Loki was confirmed to be part of the Doctor Who spin-off in July 2024, before filming began last year and continued through December. She shared a report from Variety about her casting on her Instagram story, excitedly writing, “Epic news!”

The new Predator movie, ‘Badlands’, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, is expected to bring in over $25 million during its opening weekend in North America. This would make it the second-best opening ever for a ‘Predator’ film, following only ‘Alien vs. Predator,’ which earned $38 million.
