In Batman stories, the character Harvey Dent famously transforms into the villain Two-Face. Several actors have portrayed Harvey Dent in Batman films, notably Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight (2008) and Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever (1995). Interestingly, Harvey’s father has never been shown in a live-action Batman movie before, making his appearance in The Batman Part II a first.

The upcoming film Doomsday will showcase the multiverse like never before, featuring at least three alternate realities. We’ll see different versions of familiar heroes, including multiple Avengers teams from our main Earth (Earth-616), the Fantastic Four from another world (Earth-828), and the X-Men from a brand new universe – which might be the same one seen in Deadpool & Wolverine (Earth-10005). This sets the stage for a potentially massive casting reveal from Marvel.

Jean-François Richet, the director of Plane (with Gerard Butler), brings us Mutiny, an action film largely taking place at sea. It shares some similarities with Jason Statham’s The Meg, which also involved ocean-based action and a giant shark. While The Meg was fun, it wasn’t considered one of Statham’s strongest movies, and the trailer for Mutiny suggests a more exciting experience.

The initial trailer for the upcoming film thrilled viewers with a fast-paced fight against classic Spider-Man villains. It also introduced The Hand, a dangerous ninja group, to the big screen, and included a cameo by Jon Bernthal reprising his role as the Punisher, Frank Castle.

The recent Avengers: Endgame (2019) featured the deaths of three major characters: Iron Man, Black Widow, and Gamora. Now, with the directors, the Russo Brothers, hinting that Robert Downey Jr. might play Doctor Doom – and that he could be an even bigger threat than Thanos – we can expect more characters to die in future Marvel movies.

Superman surprisingly turns himself in to the authorities, not because he’s committed a crime, but in hopes of finding Krypto, his dog. Lois Lane is shocked he’d go to such lengths for an animal, and even points out, “It’s a dog!” – questioning his decision. It’s later revealed that Krypto actually belongs to Superman’s cousin, Supergirl, and he was simply dog-sitting while she was traveling. However, a recent moment in the Supergirl trailer adds a new layer of meaning to Superman’s willingness to sacrifice himself for Krypto.

The season 3 finale of From was packed with shocking developments, pushing several key plotlines to irreversible turning points. Elgin managed to make Fatima give birth in the basement, and the baby turned out to be the very monster they thought they had already destroyed.

Fortunately, the upcoming Doomsday movie seems to be heading in a different direction. Trailers suggest the next Avengers film will be a massive event, bringing together a new team of Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and many other familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This includes the exciting return of Chris Evans as Captain America and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.
