In the sixth episode of Daredevil: Born Again season 2, Krysten Ritter returned as Jessica Jones, marking her first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the show also revealed significant changes to her character. Meanwhile, the episode dealt with the aftermath of Vanessa’s death, showing a grieving Wilson Fisk at her bedside and then mourning her loss.

I’ve always loved genre TV, and sci-fi especially feels important. It’s amazing how often it’s been ahead of the curve, actually driving real progress in society – but I don’t think it gets enough credit for that. Shows like Star Trek constantly made me think about tough issues like prejudice and equality, and The X-Files really empowered a lot of women I knew. The best characters from these shows are just iconic, and whether they changed the world or simply showed off how talented the writers were, they always stuck with me.

This episode focuses on Captain Picard, who unexpectedly lives an entire life on a distant planet called Kataan. While only 25 minutes pass on his ship, the Enterprise, he experiences forty years as a man named Kamin. The people of Kataan sent out a message long ago, anticipating the end of their world, hoping to ensure they wouldn’t be forgotten. “The Inner Light” is a deeply moving and profoundly human story, told with remarkable subtlety.

While it might not seem important, Harry’s age is actually central to his development throughout the series. The first three movies show him discovering a magical world as a young child and facing early challenges. The next three films focus on his teenage years, as he matures and begins to lead others while battling increasing darkness. Finally, the last two movies depict his full confrontation with evil and his transition into adulthood. Harry’s age at each stage is key to understanding his growth and highlights the difference between the ordinary life he could have had and the extraordinary challenges he faces.

Despite the show’s overall success, one episode continues to bother fans. “Teso Dos Bichos,” from Season 3, tried to combine a crime story with Native American culture, but many viewers felt it didn’t quite work. The episode felt poorly executed, making it hard for audiences to enjoy.

Recently, Spy x Family revealed a new promotional image and announced more cast members for its next season. The season will cover the “Bomb Dog” and “Luxury Cruise Ship” storylines from the original manga by Tatsuya Endo.

For years, certain films have defined the cyberpunk genre, but that could change with the upcoming Apple TV+ series, Neuromancer. Based on William Gibson’s influential 1984 novel – previously thought impossible to adapt for the screen – Neuromancer tells the story of Case, a down-on-his-luck hacker played by Callum Turner, who gets caught up in a risky digital crime that mixes the real world with virtual space. Though the book is 40 years old, it’s largely responsible for shaping the cyberpunk world we see in movies and shows today.

That’s why it’s so nice when sci-fi movies are easy to enjoy – they’re often really funny or focus on the characters’ feelings using the sci-fi setting. The best sci-fi films always touch on something true about being human, either through symbolic storytelling or by offering a hopeful, imaginative escape.

Liam Neeson first gained recognition for his performance in Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List (1993), earning him an Oscar nomination. He’s also well-remembered for roles like Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Ra’s al Ghul in Batman Begins (2005), and Aslan in The Chronicles of Narnia films (2005–2010). But since 2008, Neeson has become known as an action star thanks to the Taken movies and other action films. Recently, he’s found success with a revived action comedy franchise that’s become a popular streaming hit.

Though many believe Alexei Leonov’s initial moon landing is where the alternate history of For All Mankind began, that’s not actually the case. The real turning point happened several years earlier, and the show’s new spinoff series is perfectly positioned to finally show us what it was. For All Mankind has already been praised for its detailed exploration of over 40 years of this changed timeline, and the story is continuing to unfold.
