Next month, the world of Game of Thrones is growing! HBO Max will release three new projects based on the popular fantasy series in June. Few fantasy shows have reached the same heights as Game of Thrones, whether you look at its impressive budget, strong performances, or captivating storyline.
As a huge fan of fantasy and television, I truly believe Game of Thrones was in a league of its own for most of its run – it really felt like the best fantasy series ever made. Yes, the ending was definitely disappointing, but it didn’t ruin everything. HBO still managed to build on that world and find success with new stories in Westeros, which proves how strong the original series was.
As a huge Game of Thrones fan, I’m so glad to see some of the planned spinoffs actually happening! We’ve gotten two so far, and both have been really popular worldwide. First came House of the Dragon, which dives into the history of the Targaryens and that brutal civil war they had – fans of the books will know it as the Dance of the Dragons. And then, just recently in early 2026, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms came out, and it’s a much lighter, more comedic take on the world.
Following the recent, more lighthearted story set in Westeros, the series is returning to its darker, more intense roots. The highly anticipated House of the Dragon will premiere in June. And to celebrate, several Game of Thrones titles will also become available on HBO Max, giving both longtime viewers and new fans plenty to enjoy.
3. House Of The Dragon Seasons 2 And 3 (ASL Versions)
The first Game of Thrones universe release that will arrive on HBO Max next month is the American Sign Language version of House of the Dragon season 2. HBO is putting in the effort to prepare all fans for the hit fantasy series’ return, and that includes ASL versions of both seasons of House of the Dragon.
The American Sign Language (ASL) dub of Season 1 becomes available this Friday, May 29. Next month, on June 15, the ASL version of House of the Dragon Season 2 will be released on HBO Max. Fans will have six days to watch all eight episodes before Season 3 premieres. The ASL version of House of the Dragon Season 3 will be released on June 21, at the same time as the new season.
2. House Of The Dragon Season 3
Season 3 of House of the Dragon premieres on HBO Max on Sunday, June 21st. Like previous Game of Thrones shows, new episodes will be released weekly – this season will have eight episodes, the same number as season 2, but two fewer than the first season. Get ready for intense action as the conflict escalates.
Okay, so I’m already hyped for House of the Dragon season 3! Apparently, the first episode kicks things off with the Battle of the Gullet – a huge naval battle and one of the biggest fights we’ve ever seen in the Game of Thrones universe. They’re saying this season is going to be the most action-packed one yet, with tons of battles brewing. Basically, all the major players – Aegon, Aemond, Daemon, Alicent, and Rhaenyra – are making power moves that are going to completely change the course of the Targaryen war.
1. The Official Game Of Thrones Podcast: House Of The Dragon Season 3
Finally, also releasing its episodes weekly and debuting on June 21, is The Official Game of Thrones Podcast: House of the Dragon season 3. The podcast series will be back to unravel what happens in each of the eight new episodes of House of the Dragon season 3, exploring the story choices, action sequences, actors’ performances, surprises, production insights, and more.
Hosted by Jason Concepcion and Greta Johnsen, The Official Game of Thrones Podcast: House of the Dragon season 3 officially marks the first time that the podcast will be available to stream in video format. Every episode of the podcast also features interviews with cast members, writers, directors, and more. Names like Milly Alcock, George R.R. Martin, Olivia Cooke, and even Jon Snow star Kit Harington have been on the show. As such, all three House of the Dragon releases ensure that Game of Thrones franchise fans will be in a Westeros state of mind on HBO Max in June.
