A24’s Marty Supreme Trails Sydney Sweeney’s the Housemaid on PVOD Chart

Timothée Chalamet’s new movie, Marty Supreme, is currently second place in popularity among films available for digital purchase in the US. According to FlixPatrol, it’s been overtaken by Sydney Sweeney’s latest film on platforms like iTunes, just one day after its release.

It’s not unexpected to see popular movies doing well, but it’s surprising that Marty Supreme remains just behind The Housemaid, starring Sydney Sweeney, especially given how incredibly successful Marty Supreme has been and continues to be in theaters. It’s likely Marty Supreme will soon reach number one on the iTunes chart.

For the past week, The Housemaid has been the top book. However, with Marty Supreme gaining popularity and several new releases planned for iTunes in the next few weeks, it’s likely to soon drop down the charts.

The movie, directed by Josh Safdie and co-written with Ronald Bronstein, follows Marty, a character inspired by real-life table tennis player and hustler Marty Reisman. The film charts Marty’s journey as he strives to become a world champion, showcasing his rise to the top of the game while also exploring the difficulties he faces in his personal and professional life.

I’m so excited about Marty Supreme! Timothée Chalamet is amazing, and the cast around him is incredible. Gwyneth Paltrow plays Kay Stone, a former actress and socialite, and Odessa A’Zion is Rachel Mizler, who has a history with Marty. You’ll also see Kevin O’Leary as Kay’s husband, Milton, and Tyler Okonma as one of Marty’s friends, Wally. Sandra Bernhard is playing Judy, their neighbor. Seriously, the movie is packed with famous faces – Abel Ferrara, Fran Drescher, Luke Manley, Larry Sloman, Paul Grimstad, Ronald Bronstein, Levon Hawke, David Mamet… the list goes on and on!
