Sukeban Games recently released a new trailer for their upcoming cyberpunk action game, .45 Parabellum Bloodhound. The game looks fantastic and is likely to appeal to fans of the genre, making it a strong contender for Steam wishlists.
The creators of the acclaimed game Cyberpunk Bartender Action: VA-11 Hall-A are back with a new title. 45 Parabellum Bloodhound follows Reila Mikazuchi, a skilled fighter struggling with depression who tries to find a new purpose by doing what she does best. This game features a unique battle system called “Active Time Action,” letting players pause the action to carefully plan their attacks. It’s designed to be enjoyable for all types of players, whether you prefer a challenging experience or a more relaxed one. As you progress, you’ll face seven distinct challenges with carefully chosen enemies. The game’s cyberpunk world is brought to life with retro, lo-fi graphics, and a compelling story unfolds through conversations and puzzles.
45 Parabellum Bloodhound is best suited for older players. While the game isn’t overly violent, it deals with difficult and potentially upsetting subjects like depression, suicide, drug and alcohol abuse, and self-harm.
The Game Has Drawn Comparisons to Parasite Eve
Even before its release, Steam curators are recommending .45 Parabellum Bloodhound. It’s receiving positive feedback, with many comparing it to the beloved game Parasite Eve. One player described it as a dream come true for fans of classic games, praising its exciting visuals and fantastic music. Another believes it has the potential to be one of the best indie games of the year.
In this game, you take on the role of Reila Mikazuchi, a former mercenary struggling to regain her past success. Hoping for a fresh start, she returns to the mercenary life, only to discover the true threat isn’t who she expects. The developers describe the game as taking place in immersive environments filled with carefully designed challenges and hidden secrets. You’ll explore the world, uncover mysteries, interact with memorable characters, and face exciting bosses at the end of each level.
We’re planning for seven chapters, and currently, you can play through five of them completely. The main features and story are pretty much finalized, and we don’t expect major changes from what we’ve already shown. However, we might still make some small cuts to ensure we can release the game soon!
