The potential role of Sadie Sink in the upcoming Spider-Man movie has been a major source of speculation and secrecy. Fans are eager to find out who she might be playing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.
Actress Sink became part of the ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ project in March 2025, though her specific role wasn’t revealed. Fans immediately speculated she would be cast as Jean Grey in the upcoming X-Men reboot from Marvel Studios. Although Marvel hasn’t officially announced anything, several reliable sources reported last month that she’s indeed playing the popular mutant character in ‘Brand New Day’.
What are the new details about Sadie Sink’s Spider-Man 4 character?
According to Daniel Richtman, a source posting on Patreon, Finn Wolfhard’s character in the upcoming movie has a significant connection to Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. Richtman also claims that during a scene involving a tank, Wolfhard’s character will be able to control the minds of others, including the character played by Liza Colón-Zayas, whose role is currently unknown.
A recent rumor suggested a close bond between Sink’s character and the Punisher, potentially leading to the Punisher protecting her from Damage Control.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues the story after the events of the 2021 film, No Way Home. That movie essentially reset Peter Parker’s history, giving the Marvel Cinematic Universe a chance to create a Spider-Man more like the one from the comics. Filming for this new sequel took place from August to December 2025 and was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
Tom Holland will return as Spider-Man (Peter Parker) for his seventh Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film, currently titled Brand New Day. He’ll be joined by familiar faces from the MCU including Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Michael Mando as Scorpion, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, and Jon Bernthal as the Punisher.
Tramell Tillman is the latest actor joining the cast, taking on a currently secret role. Marvin Jones III will play Lonnie Lincoln, also known as Tombstone – a character he previously voiced in the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
The new Spider-Man movie, titled ‘Brand New Day’, is planned for release on July 31, 2026, and will be included in the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
