KYBER Is The Next Best Thing To A Star Wars Battlefront 3
For those unfamiliar, KYBER is a game launcher that acts as a central hub for content. It offers features like always-on servers, full support for mods made by the community, and a more engaging experience with voice chat based on player proximity, as well as in-depth tracking of player progress.
Honestly, with all the mods available, playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 feels like I’m basically playing Battlefront 3! They’ve added so many new characters, like Cal Kestis from Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Asajj Ventress from The Clone Wars (though they did tone her down a bit in the latest update). Plus, there’s the possibility of unlocking new skins for everyone. This KYBER mod really transforms the game, letting us experience Battlefront 2 in a completely fresh way, and the creators are constantly updating it to keep things stable and balanced.
An Open Beta Is Out Now
On December 20, 2025, KYBER launched a free open beta of Star Wars Battlefront 2 for all PC players, and it’s expected to remain available for a long time. This comes at a good moment, as interest in the game has risen and fallen in unpredictable bursts. While Star Wars Battlefront 2 saw a big increase in players on Steam in 2025, excitement had recently started to decrease again.
Even if a proper Star Wars Battlefront 3 never happens, the KYBER modding community is doing a great job of keeping the dream alive. They’ve created so much new content and active servers that what they offer might actually be better than any official sequel, particularly if that sequel lacked mod support or didn’t include as much content.
