Henry Cavill Gets The Perfect New MCU Role In Avengers: Secret Wars Art

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is nearing the end of Phase 6, with Avengers: Secret Wars planned as the final film in this current storyline. The Multiverse Saga has unfolded across both movies and TV shows, and the upcoming Avengers films are expected to dramatically reshape the future of the franchise.

Now that filming for Avengers: Secret Wars is starting soon, artist Bosslogic has created a rendering of Henry Cavill as the Beyonder, a very powerful Marvel character. You can see the design below.

As a huge movie fan, I was totally surprised to see Henry Cavill pop up in Deadpool & Wolverine this year! It was a quick appearance – he played a version of Wolverine, believe it or not – but honestly, it was one of the most talked-about and loved cameos in the whole MCU so far. It really got people buzzing!

The Beyonder has shown up in a few animated series, most notably in Spider-Man: The Animated Series during its adaptation of the Secret Wars story arc. He was a key character in the Secret Wars and Secret Wars II comic books, but it’s currently unknown if he’ll be involved in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars movie.

Filming for Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to begin this summer, with Anthony and Joe Russo directing. Before that, the production team will also shoot some extra scenes for Avengers: Doomsday this spring, ahead of filming the movie that will conclude Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Although the full cast for Avengers: Secret Wars hasn’t been announced yet, some Marvel Cinematic Universe actors have confirmed they’ll be returning. Letitia Wright recently told ScreenRant’s Liam Crowley that she will reprise her role as Shuri, also known as Black Panther, in the 2027 film.

Paul Bettany, who plays Vision, hinted in December 2025 that he’ll likely be back for a future Avengers movie, possibly Secret Wars. This news comes as he prepares to reprise the role in the Disney+ series VisionQuest later this year. He mentioned, “I think I’ve got some Avengers duties next year,” leading fans to believe he’ll be involved in the upcoming Secret Wars film.

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Secret Wars will arrive in theaters on December 17, 2027.
