A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Final Trailer Readies Fans for GOT Spin-off Show

The final trailer for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been released.

The new Game of Thrones spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, follows the adventures of Sir Duncan the Tall, nicknamed “Dunk” (played by Peter Claffey), and his young apprentice, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). The show will debut on HBO Max in January, and plans for a second season are already underway.

What happens in the A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms trailer?

The trailer for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms returns us to the world of Game of Thrones, but like House of the Dragon, this story unfolds long before the original series began.

The story follows Ser Duncan the Tall, a brave but inexperienced knight, and his small squire, Egg, as they journey across Westeros. Set during the reign of the Targaryen dynasty – when dragons are still a recent memory – the pair will face great challenges, powerful enemies, and thrilling adventures, forging an unlikely and unforgettable friendship.

Joining the cast of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms are Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Danny Webb as Ser Arlan of Pennytree, Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen, Shaun Thomas as Raymun Fossoway, Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen, Edward Ashley as Ser Steffon Fossoway, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Henry Ashton as Daeron Targaryen, Youssef Kerkour as Steely Pate, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor as Plummer, and Daniel Monks as Ser Manfred Dondarrion.

George R.R. Martin and Ira Parker created and are executive producers of the series, with Parker leading the production as showrunner. Sarah Bradshaw, Owen Harris, Ryan Condal, and Vince Gerardis also serve as executive producers. Owen Harris and Sarah Adina Smith directed episodes of the show.

The new series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, will debut on HBO and HBO Max on January 18, 2026. The first season will consist of six episodes.
