Watching again really highlights how quickly Taejoong’s life falls apart before he’s imprisoned. Ji Chang-wook does an excellent job of showing Taejoong as a caring, but reserved, romantic character. He has a loving relationship and supportive friends, making the news of a woman’s brutal murder – and the evidence pointing to him – even more shocking. The first episode sees him forced to defend himself in a clearly unfair trial, and he’s quickly publicly shamed and thrown into prison, where he’s meant to spend the rest of his life.

It’s true – Nintendo actually considered making a sequel to Twilight Princess after the game was a big hit.
