Apple TV’s Shrinking Finally Gets Season 3 Premiere Date

Good news for fans of the Apple TV+ series Shrinking, which stars Jason Segel and Harrison Ford! Season 3 will premiere soon – almost a year after Season 2 ended.

Apple TV+ has announced that the third season of Shrinking will premiere on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, with a one-hour episode. The show, which has received positive reviews (94% from critics and 89% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes), will release new episodes every Wednesday through April 8, 2026, for a total of 11 episodes. Starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, the cast also includes Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley. The second season finished airing in December 2024.

Jason Segel co-created Shrinking with Brett Goldstein and Bill Lawrence. For the third season, Brett Goldstein will return as Louis Winston in a recurring role. Wendie Malick, Cobie Smulders, and Damon Wayans, Jr. are also returning as guest stars. Jeff Daniels will join the cast as a guest star in the upcoming season as well.

Michael J. Fox is Expected to Share Scenes with Harrison Ford

The show Shrinking centers around Jimmy Laird, a therapist grieving the loss of his wife. He often uses unique approaches with his patients, like letting one, Sean, live in his guest house. The first season ended with a heartfelt Thanksgiving, and the second season concluded with Jimmy unexpectedly encountering Louis – the man responsible for his wife’s fatal car accident – and accepting his apology.

Michael J. Fox, who lives with Parkinson’s disease, is playing a character with the same condition in the new show Shrinking. Jason Segel’s character, Dr. Paul Rhoades, also has Parkinson’s. Fox recently discussed his experience filming Shrinking and how it differed from other roles he’s taken on.

Fox described his experience on the set of Shrinking as liberating, saying it was the first time he could focus solely on acting without worrying about his health. He’s hoping to continue acting and is inspired by the work of others, believing he can find fulfilling roles as both an actor and a writer. He also feels motivated to continue fulfilling his roles as a parent, husband, and friend. This marks Fox’s first role since playing Louis Canning on The Good Fight in 2020.
