Showtime has announced the fate of the franchise. Following the initial series, the story expanded with one prequel and two sequels, among them .
The original *Dexter* series had an unsatisfying ending, but Showtime brought it back years later with *Dexter: New Blood*, which wasn’t well-received by critics. The franchise really turned things around with *Dexter: Resurrection*, earning excellent reviews and attracting a large audience. Now, Michael C. Hall, the show’s star, has announced on the show’s YouTube channel that *Dexter: Resurrection* will be back for a second season.
The clip starts with Michael C. Hall opening his eyes and saying, “Hey, what’s up? It’s Michael C. Hall. I just want to thank all the fans who watched *Dexter: Resurrection* with us this summer. I hope you enjoyed the show.”
I’m so excited to share some great news! We’ve officially been renewed for another season. I couldn’t wait to tell everyone – the writers are starting to get together now to plan things out, and we’ll be sharing more details soon, but just know the story isn’t over yet!
