Amazon Unveils Michael B. Jordan’s Remake of Pierce Brosnan’s Beloved 27-Year-Old Crime Classic

Amazon MGM Studios just released the first look at a new movie starring Michael B. Jordan. He not only plays the main character but also directed and produced this action-packed crime story.

Jordan is directing a new version of The Thomas Crown Affair. This will be the second remake of the original 1968 film, which starred Steve McQueen; the first remake came out in 1999 with Pierce Brosnan. It’s Jordan’s second time directing, following their work on 2023’s Creed III.

Details about the story are still secret, but insiders say this new version of The Thomas Crown Affair, written by Drew Pearce, will take place in Europe. Similar to the original 1999 film, it will center around Thomas Crown orchestrating a daring art heist. The cast includes Kenneth Branagh, Adria Arjona, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, and Pilou Asbæk.

The Thomas Crown Affair hits theaters on Mar. 5, 2027.

This is a developing story…
