Wonder Woman & Supergirl Go Anime In Justice League Unlimited #24 Variant Cover
The cover art for the 24th issue of Justice League Unlimited has been revealed, along with several alternate cover designs. One design features a fresh, new look for two of DC’s most famous female heroes that will likely appeal to fans of manga and anime.
This artwork presents Supergirl and Wonder Woman styled as characters from Sailor Moon. Created by Naoko Takeuchi, the author and artist of the original manga, Sailor Moon centers on a team of young women battling supernatural threats while famously wearing short schoolgirl skirts.
The illustration prominently features short skirts and thigh-high boots, common stylistic choices in manga. Characters like Kara Zor-El and Diana of Themyscira have the large eyes and heart-shaped faces typical of the medium. While Diana’s new costume is fairly recognizable—with its red top, gold bustier, and blue skirt—Kara’s outfit is particularly striking, featuring a golden House of El crest, white detailing, exposed shoulders with ruffled sleeves, and a gold trim at the hem of her skirt.
Artist Rachta Lin created the cover art, bringing her signature manga style to the project. She previously redesigned the cover for Absolute Catwoman as a special edition for New York Comic Con, and also created a striking variant cover for Absolute Batman #13. Recently, she designed another popular variant cover.

Dan Mora, the artist behind the popular World’s Finest comic, provides the illustrations.
