Transformers Gives Optimus Prime’s Best Movie Design a Transparent New Upgrade

The movie Bumblebee, released eight years ago, was praised for revitalizing the live-action Transformers films and featuring classic robot designs. Now, artist Yolopark has given one of the most popular robots from that film a fresh new look.

Yolopark recently announced a new upgrade kit for their Bumblebee Movie Optimus Prime toy. This ‘AMK PRO Series’ pack includes transparent armor and an Earth globe accessory, highlighting the figure’s detailed design. However, it will be a limited release, so fans will need to actively search for it when it becomes available.

Optimus Prime Gets a Clear Upgrade in the Newest Transformers Yolopark Collectible

This new clear armor is designed for the popular Autobot leader and works with his existing AMK Pro Series model kit. It’s based on his look from the movie Bumblebee, specifically recreating his short appearance on Cybertron.

The new clear armor gives him an almost ghostly appearance, as sixteen pieces cover most of his body. This dramatically changes his look and also allows you to see the detailed mechanics inside. A holographic Earth can even be attached to his arm, recreating a memorable scene from the film and further setting this version apart.

The images for this accessory pack have been shared on Yolopark’s social media accounts, although the price has not yet been revealed. It also won’t be easy to obtain this collectible, as only 1,500 pieces will be produced. These will be sold exclusively through in-person events and conventions, so fans will have to hunt down the armor in order to further accessorize their Optimus Prime kits.

I’ve noticed that both Bumblebee and its related lines have been consistently popular with collectors, especially when it comes to non-transforming model kits made by companies like Yolopark and Blokees. Interestingly, Bumblebee really went back to the roots of the original Generation 1 designs for many of its characters – a big departure from what we’d seen in earlier live-action movies. Initially, they planned this film as a prequel, but it ended up being rethought as a complete reboot right before release.
