Juliette Finds Bernard Alive In Silo Season 3’s Episode 4’s Ending
In the fourth episode of Silo season 3, Juliette discovers a mysterious man who initially appears unfamiliar. However, it’s quickly revealed to be Tim Robbins playing Bernard. This is surprising because earlier in the season, the Apple TV+ sci-fi series showed that Bernard had died – killed by Robert Sims shortly after being rescued from the decontamination chamber in Silo 18, as shown in a flashback.
A recent flashback revealed that Bernard wasn’t killed in the accident at the end of Silo season 2 – his body was deliberately burned to cover up his survival and erase any evidence he existed in Silo 18. Juliette had been led to believe he died from his injuries, but episode 4 of Silo season 3 proves Bernard is actually still alive.
When Juliette discovers Bernard, he’s in bed and appears very ill, leading her to believe he might not have much time left. How Bernard Is Still Alive In Silo Season 3
The next episode of Silo season 3 will probably show us how Bernard ended up on the lower levels of the Silo, and it looks like Robert Sims played a part in it. Throughout season 2, Sims started to change and question his own values. He’s continued this in season 3, disagreeing with his wife and appearing to try and share information with Juliette.
This makes it seem like he pretended Bernard died. After working for the former mayor for so long, he likely couldn’t bring himself to actually kill him. While Sims understood that saving Bernard could cause problems, he also knew that only Bernard and Juliette had the power to ultimately help him and his community.
Bernard may have informed Sims about the details of the Safeguard Procedure and the creators’ disregard for the silo residents. He could also have secretly instructed Robert to arrange his own death, allowing him to communicate with Juliette privately, without the Algorithm’s knowledge.
What Bernard’s Survival Means For Juliette In Silo Season 3
Within Silo 18, Bernard, Juliette, and Lukas Kyle are the only ones aware of the truth behind the Safeguard Procedure. Because Juliette only connected with Bernard after arriving in Silo 18 at the end of Silo season 2, he’s the only one who knows she discovered a way to protect their community. This makes him the only person who can help her recall what she learned.
Okay, so Juliette’s finally getting her memories back – thank goodness! It looks like after chatting with Bernard, she might actually recall everything that happened after she left Silo 18 at the end of Season 1. If she can piece it all together, she has a shot at figuring out how to save everyone and maybe even stop whatever the ‘Safeguard Procedure’ is in Season 3. I’m really hoping she remembers fast enough; things are getting tense!
