With a lot of players hoping for updated versions on newer consoles, it looks like an official new release of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is coming later this year.
It’s not a new video game, but LEGO is releasing a potentially awesome Pokémon set! LEGO is planning more Pokémon sets through 2026, and we’re getting official news and sneak peeks about what’s coming. According to BrickTapNews, one upcoming set will be especially exciting for fans of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and it will include a minifigure of a famously enigmatic character.
BrickTapNews reports that LEGO is planning a minifigure of Zinnia, a significant character from the Delta Episode in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The rumor is that Zinnia will be included in a LEGO Rayquaza set (number 72168), expected to have 1038 pieces and cost around $130. The set is currently slated for release in August 2026.
I’m so hyped for the next LEGO Pokémon set! It’s coming after the Poké Ball set, which is huge because it’ll have the very first LEGO Pokémon minifigures. This new one is part of the SMART Play line, so even if Rayquaza and Zinnia aren’t your thing, there’s plenty more cool stuff on the way. Seriously, it looks like LEGO and Pokémon are planning a ton more releases, which is amazing!
Many fans consider Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire to be the best Pokémon remakes ever created. Released for the 3DS over ten years ago, these games were significantly updated with a complete National Pokédex and the introduction of Mega Evolutions. A memorable part of these games was the Delta Episode featuring the characters Zinnia, Rayquaza, and Deoxys, making the possibility of a LEGO set based on that storyline particularly exciting.
