This new film is the first live-action take on one of those alternate Spider-Men, and it’s exceptionally well done. Fans will love seeing Spider-Noir, and everyone will be excited to watch Nicolas Cage play Ben Reilly.

Spider-Noir presents a New York City unlike any Peter Parker has known, vividly recreating the classic film noir style of the 1940s with a superhero spin. Despite being in black and white, Nicolas Cage’s performance as the Spider-Man of this world is captivating, immersing viewers in a world of gangsters, villains, and alluring, quick-witted women.

A simple story can be good, of course, but when you’ve been spoiled by so much brilliance, even a decent story feels a little underwhelming in comparison.
