Off Campus Season 2: Confirmation, Story, & Everything We Know

Warning: This article includes MAJOR SPOILERS for Off Campus season 1!

Good news for fans of steamy romance! Prime Video has renewed “Off Campus” for a second season, and here’s what we know so far. Based on the popular books by Elle Kennedy, this hockey-themed series has quickly become a hit with viewers and critics alike. “Off Campus” is a highly anticipated adaptation of a beloved sports romance novel, and early reviews are very positive, especially praising the show’s cast and its ability to tackle complex themes.

While this romantic comedy doesn’t necessarily break new ground, it’s incredibly enjoyable to watch. Many viewers will likely be wondering if it will be renewed for another season, as streaming services often cancel promising shows too soon. Fortunately, we already know the show’s fate – and the news came even before the first season premiered! Prime Video was so sure Off Campus would be a success that they confirmed a second season before the first one was released. Here’s all the information you need.

Off Campus Season 2 Is Already Confirmed

On February 12th, Variety reported that Prime Video has ordered a second season of Off Campus, signaling strong confidence in the show even before its initial release. Peter Friedlander stated that they anticipated the series would be successful from the beginning.

Because of its dedicated fans, compelling story, and talented team, we always believed this show had the potential to go beyond one season. Set in the competitive world of college hockey, the series delves into meaningful personal stories, brought to life by a fantastic cast with genuine chemistry. We’re very pleased with how Louisa adapted the material and are thrilled to deliver more of the romance, friendship, and emotional depth that viewers love.

The renewal of Off Campus is a good sign for the show’s future. It shows that the streaming service is committed to the series and believes in its potential. If the first season performs well, Prime Video might quickly approve a third season, even before the second one airs. Plus, renewing the show early will help maintain a consistent release schedule, avoiding long waits between seasons.

Off Campus Season 2 Cast Details

Season 1 of Off Campus established the main characters who will be featured throughout the series. Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli, who played Hannah and Garrett, were the central couple in the first season, and they’ve confirmed to Us Weekly they’ll continue to make appearances in future seasons. Mika Abdalla as Allie and Stephen Kalyn as Dean are also set to return, and will likely be the focus of season 2.

Alongside the main cast, Antonio Cipriano, who plays John Logan, and Jalen Thomas Brooks as John Tucker, are also back as key characters. I was a little worried about Josh Heuston’s Justin after the drama with Hannah at the end of Off Campus season one, but it looks like he’s been confirmed as a series regular for season two, which is great! We don’t know exactly how big his role will be, but I’m glad he’s returning.

The upcoming season of Off Campus will feature the return of Charlie Evan as Hunter Davenport, a character who unexpectedly appeared in season one. With his past relationship with Allie and complicated history with Dean Di Laurentis, season two promises plenty of drama. Julia Sarah Stone (as Jules), Khobe Clarke (as Beau Maxwell), and Steve Howey (as Phil Graham) may also return.

In addition to other news, Deadline reported that two new actors will join the cast of Off Campus season 2. India Fowler, known for her role in Fear Street: Prom Queen, will play Grace Ivers, who is Logan’s love interest in the second book, The Mistake. Grace is a first-year sociology student who is shy and deals with OCD. She and Logan meet during her first year of college and start dating in her second year.

Philippa Soo, known for her roles in Hamilton and Dope Sick, will join the cast as Scarlett, a theater director working with the drama department at Briar U. Because of this, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, who plays Hannah’s friend Dexter, is also expected to return for season 2 of Off Campus.

What Off Campus Season 2 Will Be About

Prime Video’s Off Campus is taking a similar approach to Bridgerton, with each season focusing on a different couple. This matches the book series, where each story is connected but can also be enjoyed on its own. After Garrett and Hannah’s story in season one, many expected season two to adapt the second book, The Mistake, which follows Logan and Grace’s rekindled romance. However, it seems season two will actually center on Allie and Dean, who were a prominent secondary couple in the first season.

The Prime Video show mirrored a storyline from Heated Rivalry, featuring Allie and Dean having a brief appearance early on, followed by a significant moment at the end. The finale left their relationship on a dramatic cliffhanger: Dean tried to tell Allie how he felt, but she shockingly told him to see someone else. To make things even more complicated, Allie ended up spending the night with Hunter Davenport, Dean’s rival, who appears to be joining the hockey team.

Another sign that Allie and Dean will be the main couple in the next season is that Grace Ivers hasn’t been featured much yet – she’s only briefly mentioned during the raffle. It seems likely that season 2 of Off Campus will primarily focus on Dean and Allie, with Grace and Logan taking a supporting role. This makes sense because Grace and Logan’s story involves a time jump; they initially have a bad first encounter before finally getting together during her sophomore year.

The show will likely introduce Logan and Grace’s romantic connection in season 2, possibly over one or two episodes, similar to Allie and Dean’s storyline in season 1. This fits with the existing plot, as Logan is already shown to have feelings for Hannah. If Prime Video renews the show, the story could then jump forward in time between seasons 2 and 3, with Logan and Grace’s relationship taking center stage in season 3.

Neal Flaherty, the show’s executive producer, told The Hollywood Reporter on April 30th that filming for the new season has begun. The first season of Off Campus filmed in Vancouver starting in June 2025 and was released 11 months later. If the pattern continues, season 2 could be released around April 2027. The show aims to release new seasons yearly, so future seasons will likely follow a similar production schedule.
