Disney is planning a big presentation for Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday at CinemaCon 2026, suggesting a renewed promotional push for what’s expected to be a major summer blockbuster. After a strong initial wave of marketing in December and January, there hasn’t been much new footage released – but that looks like it’s about to change.
Disney is planning a major appearance at CinemaCon 2026, a large annual event for the movie industry held in Las Vegas from April 13th to 16th. The Hollywood Reporter says studios use the convention to preview upcoming films, while theater owners discover the latest technologies and marketing ideas.
Disney typically showcases film clips rather than appearances by stars or directors at CinemaCon, and this year promises to be no different. Attendees can expect updates on upcoming films like the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada from 20th Century Entertainment and Toy Story 5 from Pixar. Marvel Studios is planning a major presentation for Doomsday, one of just two Marvel Cinematic Universe movies scheduled for release this year – the other being Spider-Man: Brand New Day, a joint project with Sony Pictures.
Disney is scheduled to present at CinemaCon on Thursday, April 16th, from 2:30 to 4:30 PM Pacific Time. Given Marvel Studios’ significant involvement, they might announce new actors for the upcoming film Doomsday, or even share a brand new trailer – something Disney has done for Marvel movies at CinemaCon in previous years.
The upcoming movie, Avengers: Doomsday, is the third film in Marvel Studios’ Phase 6. It will feature a huge cast of over 30 familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four, as they battle Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., to save the multiverse. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18th.
What To Expect From Avengers: Doomsday at CinemaCon 2026

With four trailers for Doomsday already out between late 2025 and early 2026, fans are eager for Marvel to share even more of the film at CinemaCon. Many are hoping the new footage will feature the movie’s main actors, including those who haven’t been officially announced yet – or who might be revealed for the first time at the event.
I’m incredibly excited to finally see Robert Downey Jr. as Doom! It’s been so long since we saw him in a Marvel role – ever since Tony Stark’s sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame back in 2019. We’ve gotten a few glimpses of his costume and powers in promotional shots, but seeing him actually on screen feels like a huge moment, and I think it’ll be a defining one for where the Multiverse Saga is going. I’m really counting down the days!
There’s a small possibility Marvel will share the very first hints about Avengers: Secret Wars, planned for 2027, as production is set to start in June 2026. Because this movie is expected to be even bigger than Doomsday, any official announcement could generate huge excitement online.
