As a movie lover, I was immediately drawn to this story! It’s about a former star who’s lost his grip on reality – he can’t really tell what’s happened before from what’s happening now. Thankfully, he has two incredibly dedicated caretakers who realize that the best way to reach him might be through the power of storytelling and pretending – helping him find his way back to a world he feels disconnected from.
Runtime: 1 Hour 22 Minutes

The series ‘Watching Mr. Pearson’ centers on Robert Pearson (played by Armstrong), a former actor grappling with memory loss and physical frailty, and who requires constant care. His caretakers, Caroline (Zawada) and Miguel (Rizo), approach their roles differently, with Caroline prioritizing a friendly connection with him.
As Robert’s mental health declines, he increasingly retreats into memories of his childhood, losing touch with the present. Meanwhile, Caroline desperately tries to find ways to help him and bring back happy recollections to his life.
Verdict on Watching Mr. Pearson
Recap
I just watched this really moving movie about an older actor who’s sadly losing his memory and needs help with daily life. It’s heartbreaking because his condition is making things incredibly tough on the people taking care of him – they’re really struggling to figure out how to best support him and what he needs.
Best Parts
It’s compelling to watch a famous person struggle with getting older. The contrast between the different caregivers is effective, showing various ways to support someone in need. Overall, the acting is excellent and creates a truly touching story.
Worst Parts
Looking back at the actor’s earlier films, they don’t have the grand scale or impact you’d expect from a major star. They feel like simpler projects, not quite reflecting the level of stardom they eventually achieved.
Final Thoughts –Watching Mr. Pearson is a moving drama about former stars.
