Season 5 of The Boys arrives on Amazon Prime Video this month, marking the end of the series. Fans are eager to see the final showdown between Butcher (Karl Urban) and Homelander (Antony Starr) and discover who will win.
The show first launched in July 2019 and has been consistently produced ever since, even expanding with two spin-offs: Diabolical and Gen V. But it’s the original The Boys that viewers are most excited about, and like other shows on Prime Video, new episodes will be released each week.
Good news! The first two episodes will be released at the same time to get us excited for the show. You can watch them starting Wednesday, April 8th, at midnight Pacific Time or 3am Eastern Time in the US and Canada. After that, new episodes will come out weekly until the season ends in May.

Even though The Boys will eventually finish, the story isn’t over yet. A new series called Vought Rising is currently being made, and it will feature the characters Soldier Boy (played by Jensen Ackles) and Stormfront (played by Aya Cash). This show will be a murder mystery, taking viewers back to the 1950s to explore how Vought International began and to see the early adventures of Soldier Boy and Stormfront.
The new series, Vought Rising, is currently planned to debut around 2027. Unfortunately, that might mean fans of Gen V shouldn’t expect a third season. Jaz Sinclair, the actress who plays Marie Moreau in Gen V, recently revealed she hasn’t received any updates about the show’s future.
Based on the Gen V characters shown in The Boys season 5 trailer, it looks like The Boys could be wrapping up soon. Like The Boys Presents: Diabolical, it seems this installment might only last one season, so appreciate The Boys while you can – it could be the last show in this universe for a while.
