Gamers love getting hints about new releases, and when it comes to a beloved classic like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, we’re always eager for any news. This time, the information comes from a reliable source – it’s less of a rumor and more of a confirmation. It looks like a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Switch 2 could actually happen soon!
A reliable source, Nate the Hate, recently shared on his podcast that Nintendo is likely working on a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It’s expected to be released on the Switch 2, and the idea of revisiting Link’s classic adventure with updated graphics and gameplay sounds fantastic for both longtime fans and newcomers.
The Ocarina Of Time Remake Was Right In Front Of Us
Hints Have Been Dropping For Years
While Nate The Hate recently seemed to confirm what many fans predicted, a more trustworthy source has been suggesting it for quite some time. Eiji Aonuma, producer of The Legend of Zelda series, hinted at a remake as early as 2023. During an interview with Game Informer, instead of saying no, Aonuma simply smiled and offered a cautious ‘no comment’.
Instead of directly saying they have no plans to remake The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the spokesperson stopped speaking in Japanese and simply said ‘no comment’ in English—a common American way to avoid revealing spoilers. While it’s not definitive proof, combined with information from trusted leaker Nate the Hate, it strongly suggests a remake is very likely to happen!
Zelda’s 40th Anniversary Is Going Strong
Elf Hot Off The Shelf
It’s an incredible time to be a fan of The Legend of Zelda! The 40th anniversary celebration has begun with exciting teasers for the next game, newly discovered secrets from Ocarina of Time (released 28 years ago!), and the announcement of a live-action Zelda series coming to theaters next year. There’s so much new content on the horizon, it’s the best time ever to follow the adventures of Link.
Imagining a beautifully updated version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the new Nintendo Switch is incredibly exciting. The thought of hearing that iconic ‘Hey! Listen!’ and starting Link’s adventure again sends shivers down my spine. I think I need to dig out my old Nintendo 64 just in case! Here we go – another adventure awaits!
