This challenge really pushed Team 7 to recognize their strengths as they faced opponents who were stronger than them. Finally, there are the tournament battles themselves that conclude the exams.
Even now, these fights stand out. While some, like Naruto versus Kiba, weren’t great, others – such as Rock Lee against Gaara or Naruto versus Neji – perfectly showcase exciting matchups between underdogs and powerful opponents. This tournament was also excellent for introducing many characters who would become important later in the series, and it meaningfully advanced Naruto’s story.
