Zoe Saldaña Just Brought Back Floating Shoulders For Avatar, But She Did It So Differently Than Florence Pugh

We’ve previously covered trends like sheer dresses and the bright pink ‘Barbiecore’ look, but now it’s all about ‘floating shoulders.’ Though others have tried this style before, it gained attention recently with Florence Pugh’s outfit at the 2024 Oscars. Now, Zoe Saldaña is also embracing the trend with her own take on the look.

Saldaña looked incredible at a recent photo call in Paris for her new movie, Avatar: Fire and Ash. While her hair and makeup were perfect, everyone was focused on her striking black leather top by Balenciaga. The top featured a unique design – a high, floating collar that sat above her neck, reminiscent of the floating islands in Pandora. I really like this outfit – it’s both sophisticated and has a modern, unexpected edge, which is great for a press event. It’s quite a departure from the look Florence Pugh recently wore.
