Benacus Entertainment, partnering with RNF Productions, are thrilled to unveil that their chilling and gory horror production titled “Your Host” will make its first appearance at the FrightFest event on August 22nd this year.
In this production, directed by DW Medoff, the esteemed host is joined by Academy Award-nominee Jackie Earle Haley (known for Watchmen and A Nightmare on Elm Street), Ella-Rae Smith (The Stranger), Jamie Flatters (Black Dog), David Angland, and Joelle Rae.
Four friends aged 23 spend their birthday in a high-end cabin, but as they party, they discover a VHS camcorder filming them from the woods. In the dead of night, one mysterious figure dressed entirely in black drugs them while staying concealed in the darkness. However, upon waking up, they find themselves disoriented and trapped within an abandoned factory that has been reimagined as a macabre gameshow setting with elements of torture.
The friends’ captor is a disturbed individual dressed in an orange velvet attire and a menacing mask, who compels them to participate in games and punishes them if they fail.
It turns out that this isn’t just random mistreatment; the host appears to be hiding a connection to one of the friends. He presents an opportunity for all of them to confess, with the intention of pardoning three and eliminating the confessed one. However, when the supposed victim doesn’t confess, the harsh games persist.
In order to endure, they’re compelled to participate in extraordinary and lethal contests, concocted by a game show host who’s clearly psychotic. This malevolent figure revels as their friendships are tested, pain is inflicted, and ultimately, they begin to murder each other. However, the sole means of escape…lies within winning the game.
