The plot thickens when Hancock saves Ray Embrey, a PR consultant, from a speeding train. Feeling indebted, Ray dedicates himself to rebuilding Hancock’s image and proving he’s a true hero. As Hancock spends more time with Ray’s family, the story grows more complex.

The film stars Will Smith, alongside Charlize Theron as Mary Embrey, Jason Bateman as Ray Embrey, Jae Head as Aaron Embrey, and Eddie Marsan as Kenneth Parker Jr.

Hancock was a big hit with audiences, bringing in around $629.4 million worldwide on a production budget of $150 million. In the United States, it made over $227 million, while international earnings exceeded $401 million, according to Box Office Mojo.

Although the film did well financially, critics were divided in their opinions. It received a 42% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 6.4 out of 10 on IMDB. However, Will Smith did win a BET Award for his acting in the movie.
