Okay, so if you’re like me and were hoping for a new episode of Grey’s Anatomy tonight, February 5th, 2026, you’re out of luck! But honestly, it’s not a bad thing. ABC seems to have learned from last year and is doing a much better job with their schedule this season. They didn’t leave shows like 9-1-1 and Grey’s Anatomy off the air for ages like they did before. Don’t get me wrong, we’ll probably still have some shorter breaks here and there, but it won’t be those super long gaps!

Season 22 of Grey’s Anatomy has been packed with drama. The season began with a significant character’s death and has continued with challenges for the doctors and patients at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Recently, Addison Montgomery made a welcome return to Seattle, even convincing Amelia to come back from her break. Unfortunately, fans who are eager to see what happens next will have to wait a little while.

Okay, so Grey’s Anatomy is back from its winter break and they actually dropped four episodes at once, which was great! But, frustratingly, the show is being pulled from the schedule again. It’s not the usual planned break this time, though. ABC hasn’t said why, and it’s not just Grey’s – 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville aren’t getting new episodes tonight either. It’s a total primetime shake-up, and honestly, as a fan, it’s a bit annoying!

The break in programming could be due to two things. First, the Winter Olympics in Milan are happening, and other networks might be holding back new shows because most viewers will be watching the Olympics, which NBC is primarily covering. Second, ABC might be intentionally scheduling its shows around important “sweeps” weeks, which influence advertising costs for the year.
