A new report has detailed exactly what happened with the complicated split between Disney+ and the BBC regarding the show Doctor Who.
Sources at Deadline report that the show’s cancellation was due to a combination of issues, including low viewership, high production costs, and political considerations. One former Disney executive revealed that the company’s confidence in the series wasn’t as strong as publicly believed.
