The show resumes when a resident is assaulted at the beach. She seeks help from Pearl (Godliman) to probe the incident, as she suspects it might be connected to a local mother who’s been missing for years. Pearl delves into the case and starts unraveling the mystery behind her disappearance.

In this latest installment, I find myself unraveling a complex mystery that stretches far beyond its initial appearance. The plot takes unexpected turns and twists, revealing a dangerously intricate plan. Simultaneously, Mike makes his return with a noticeable shift in demeanor. Throughout the narrative, I can’t help but feel as though I’m an integral part of the community. (4/5)

Death, The Devil and the Fool

The story begins as a young girl mysteriously disappears, with Pearl taking charge of the ensuing investigation. The evidence suggests that she entered a van, but the involvement of a psychic community complicates matters, turning the case into something resembling a circus spectacle.

Here’s another fascinating instance that takes an unanticipated turn of events, leaving us puzzled. It demonstrates how a seemingly ordinary town can transform its inhabitants into amateur sleuths to unravel a local enigma. This scenario underscores the challenges that Pearl faces, as her amiable demeanor often lands her in the midst of complications with her friends. (4/5)

Oysters Kilpatrick

The story opens as Tom (Webb) arranges a romantic trip for Pearl. Yet, his proposal plans are thrown off course after consulting with her confidante, and tragically, a food critic passes away in her eatery. With the crime happening so intimately, the restaurant staff must pool their efforts to aid the investigation, lest the business suffers irreparable damage.

For Pearl, this tale becomes vividly real and personal. Mike finds himself in a dilemma: adhering to procedure or assisting his friend’s enterprise. The narrative takes on an increased intensity as it could jeopardize all that Pearl has built. Yet, the plot becomes even more captivating as events start to unravel. (4/5)

Prisoners of the Past

When Pearl learns her son has returned to England, she determines to find him, delegating the care of the restaurant to Dolly (Barber). Yet, an uninvited figure from her past unexpectedly appears, stirring up tension among the locals. Mike finds himself in a dilemma as he wants to shield Dolly from trouble and simultaneously delve into the old crime with hidden mysteries lurking within it.

This episode in the series is particularly intriguing. Initially, Pearl is absent from town dealing with a private issue. Yet, it’s the case Mike is investigating that has created a rift within the community. This storyline highlights how one unresolved incident can mar a town’s history and see an innocent person spend time behind bars when proper procedures were not followed. (5/5)

Tonight’s episode opens on Halloween night, as a resident claims to have witnessed someone burying a corpse on the shore. Yet, there are inconsistencies that puzzle Mike and Nikki. Meanwhile, Charlie (Nedd) is attempting to reacclimate himself to the neighborhood and reconnect with Ruby (Molloy). Eventually, Pearl steps in to probe this mystery further for additional insights.
