As a huge fan, I’m thrilled to hear that The Boys is returning for one last season of its wild, shocking superhero mayhem in 2026! Prime Video just dropped a new trailer, and it finally tells us when we can expect to see the final episodes streaming – I can’t wait!

Since its 2019 debut, The Boys has become a major streaming hit. The upcoming fifth season will deliver the long-awaited confrontation between Billy Butcher and Homelander. Although Season 4 sparked debate with its strong political themes, Season 5 promises to be even more intense, with plenty of action, shocking deaths, and difficult decisions as the series concludes in April 2026.

‘The Boys’ is Going Out With a Bang…and a Lot of Death

Season 5 of The Boys will see the return of its core cast – including Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Karl Urban, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Karen Fukuhara, and Chace Crawford – to conclude the series. Fans will finally get to see a reunion of Supernatural stars Jensen Ackles and Jeffrey Dean Morgan with Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins is also joining the cast for these final episodes.

As a huge fan of ‘The Boys,’ I’ve been hearing for a while now from showrunner Eric Kripke that Season 5 is going to be absolutely brutal – anyone could die. Karl Urban, who plays Butcher, really emphasized this recently, even hinting that even fan favorites might not make it past the first episode! He actually said this at Fan Expo, and it’s got me seriously worried (and excited!) about what’s to come.

We really challenge you right from the start, but it’s meant to be exciting because the consequences are huge. Emotionally, and regarding the characters you care about, expect some major, impactful moments very early in the first episode of season 5.

That’s likely when it will truly hit you – when you understand the seriousness of the situation. The risks are incredibly high, and no one is safe.

I finally know when The Boys is heading towards its epic conclusion! Even though the universe will keep going with Gen V and the Vought Rising prequel, this really is the end for the main The Boys story. And what’s really exciting is that it doesn’t seem like they’re going to pull any punches or use easy outs – they’re actually planning to destroy everything they’ve built over the past four seasons, and I’m hoping it’s going to be spectacularly brutal.
